Put our R&D Lab to the Test
Salvona scientists can work with you to develop innovative ways to enhance product performance using Salvona’s proprietary nanotechnology controlled-release systems. In a typical R&D contract, Salvona applies one of its basic technology platforms to provide solutions to a customer’s problem. In addition, new delivery systems can be developed based on the specific requirements of the customer.
Services include:
1. Formulations and production of small scale samples of SalSeal™, MicroSal™, SalSphere™, MultiSal™, HydroSal™, and DermaSal™ and other available delivery systems.
2. Production of samples using various processes including: High shear homogenizations, spray drying, and spray chilling.
3. Large scale validation QC/QA including: thermo mechanical analysis (DSC, TGA), microscopy, dissolution, HPLC, GC-MS, and laser diffraction particle size analysis.
4. Data processing for statistical analysis.
Clinical studies can also be provided.

Analytical Capabilities:
Salvona has the resources to provide quality assurance and quality control using the following instrumentations:
- Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA)
- High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with an on-line solvent degasser and UV-VIS spectrophotometer
- Laser diffraction particle size analysis
- Gas chromatography with mass selective detector (GC-MS)
- Dissolution apparatus with real-time monitoring by Fiber Optic UV-VIS spectrophotometer probes
- Light microscopy with image monitoring
- Stability testing
Salvona will provide SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures) for stability studies and analytical validation of all its products.
