Business Model
There are three major business models:
1). Licensing of intellectual properties
2). Sales of advanced raw materials, technologies infused with actives
3). Sales of finished products
Licensing: Salvona offers its IP portfolio for licensing, to protect products, and enable proprietary positioning within some sectors. Prospective clients can either license patents using the applications covered under Salvona’s IP portfolio, or have new applications declared that prove useful for the company’s agenda. On 2003, Salvona licensed over 25 patents to ICI and the National Starch Company.

Sales of Advanced Raw Materials: Prospective clients may consider using a current product from the catalog or develop their own customized alternative. In the latter scenario, the project typically starts with a developmental phase, at which point Salvona either optimizes one of its current technologies to fit the requirement or, alternatively, develops a new system. Salvona is required to complete production documentation, including GMP requirements: SDP, QA, CDA, MSDS, etc.
Sales of Finished Products: Salvona offers full-scale production of finished products. The product is developed (in Salvona’s labs) and later tested extensively.
Salvona has a collaboration with a range of contract manufacturers that work together to produce, pack, and ship products to distribution centers.
The Future
Controlled release technologies are being used in many ways to enhance one’s quality of life. Some possible advantages include reducing the frequency of taking a medication or treatment and providing targeted delivery of an active to a specific site to reduce side effects and enhance active efficacy. These two examples demonstrate just how controlled-release technology can improve patient care, treatment, and reduce overall cost. Controlled-release technology can also reduce waste, thus benefiting the environment and the economy.
Effective controlled-release technology can bring about significant product improvements to existing products, while also proving vital to the development of new and more advanced products. These technologies can be used to rejuvenate existing products by adding new actives or features, enabling the existing product to gain an edge over the market. Another use of delivery systems is to extend the life of actives with expired patents to prolong their life cycle.
The Opportunity
Opportunities for investors include:
1. Business alliances to assist in sales and distribution worldwide.
2. Partnership for the production of delivery systems and final products.
3. Licensing of Intellectual Property
4. Salvona Health Care is at the initial growth phase with a wide portfolio of patents on multiple delivery systems and various applications. The company has successfully developed a product that is used in commercial diagnostic applications. Other products are being tested at pre-clinical level and clinical. We are looking to raise funds for Salvona Health Care to boost the growth rate of the company.
5. Salvona Consumer Care is looking to raise an investment for the commercialization of “NanoDerma” products. These products are based on nanotechnology delivery systems that are in the form of a soluble patch for topical and transdermal delivery. The patents covering this technology and aforementioned applications are pending, however, several prototypes have already been developed and presented to prospective customers, which have generated interest.
