DermaSal™
"Invisible patches for localized dermal and transdermal delivery of a wide range of treatment ingredients and sensory markers."
Patches offer an elegant, convenient way to deliver ingredients onto skin and localize their release onto the target site. DermaSal™ is a patch for the controlled, topical delivery of pharmaceutical ingredients to the skin, hair follicles, and sebaceous glands. Depending on the nature of the active ingredient, DermaSal™ may also serve as a transdermal delivery system. The clear patch consists of a rate-controlling polymeric matrix, yet neither adhesive nor a membrane is necessary for application.
Designed to be comfortable and easy to use, its self-adhesive properties are sufficient to keep the patch in place for the recommended treatment period while allowing total dissolution with minimal skin irritation or residue. Application and removal of the patch is as easy as rinsing the area with water. DermaSal™ is especially effective in treating acne and can deliver more salicylic acid to a problem area than stick products and creams. DermaSal™ patches are available with a wide range of treatment ingredients that can be either neat or encapsulated.
