Introduction

HydroSal® Color Seal is a system that prevents foundation, lip gloss, eyeliner, and other forms of color makeup from smudging. HydroSal® Color Seal is made of water-soluble natural or synthetic origin polymers. The water-dispersible domains contain the functional ingredient bound by a water-soluble, film-forming polymer. The polymers bind at a relatively low temperature and attach to the surface of the skin while entrapping functional ingredients. In HydroSal® encapsulation, there are typically 2 polymers that are mixed to form a homogeneous liquid. The shell material is normally dissolved in the continuous phase. While the functional ingredients are entrapped within the other polymeric system.

The encapsulated functional ingredients of HydroSal® Color Seal relate to makeup pigment and skincare. The encapsulation occurs in a water-soluble polymer. Because the present encapsulation process is performed with the use of water, the technology is particularly suitable for those ingredients that are water-dispersible. Similarly, the relatively low temperatures needed for encapsulation and dispersing of the functional ingredients meaning that the process is useful for ingredients that are sensitive to high temperatures.

The technology works when the skin is oily and even when it’s wrinkled. It will help prevent makeup from smudging into the fine lines and wrinkles on the face. It is perfect for applying with a lip gloss sponge, dense bursts of color, eyeliner, or heavily pigmented shadow and spray.

HydroSal® Color Seal is compatible with most water-based forms of pigment. It leaves a low texture that, once applied on the skin with the color, forms a thin layer of film that is durable. It’s a product especially suitable for the oily areas and where water may come into contact with the makeup, such as around your eyes and lips.

Procedure: Combine PHASE A in main vessel with prop mixing. Mix for 10-15 minutes. Add PHASE B to PHASE A with prop mixing. Slowly add PHASE C, mix until homogenous. Add PHASE D. Once homogenous, stop mixing and store in a closed container.
