SS HS is a sub-micron sphere that delivers DHT blocker (DHT=dihydrotestosterone) to hair follicles.
The common causes of hair loss are nutrient deficiency and the rogue hormone DHT. DHT plays a central role in hair miniaturization and loss. Although women don’t have nearly as much testosterone as men, when women undergo intense stress, the adrenal glands become overworked due to an increased need for the “stress hormone” known as cortisol. This causes the body to produce more adrenaline and testosterone, and DHT, a stronger variant of testosterone. When DHT binds to androgen receptors on hair follicles, the corresponding hair in the hair follicle becomes thinner and brittle.

DHT Blocker Complex
Caffeine: A team of German researchers found that caffeine blocks the damaging effects of DHT on hair follicles and stimulates the growth of new hair. "International Journal of Dermatology, 2007." Researchers based their findings on an in vitro study of caffeine's effect on hair follicle proliferation. It was found that only topical caffeine can be effective.

DHT and it's Effect on Hair Loss
DHT attaches to the androgen and nutrients to hair follicles. However, receptors on the hair follicle. DHT increasing blood flow to the follicle will gradually miniaturizes the hair follicle also expose it to more DHT. In fact, causing the hair to die and fall out many men who apply minoxidil have their hair fall out in the first month.
The first approach to reduce DHT Studies found that the combination is commonly achieved by blocking of saw palmetto and beta-sitosterol 5-alpha-reductase which converts inhibit 5-alpha-reductase. They bind testosterone to DHT. to and block 5-alpha-reductase from Minoxidil works by increasing blood flow converting testosterone to DHT.
Testosterone is converted to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by 5-alpha-reductase (5αR) enzyme.
The 5-Alpha-Reductase Enzyme
There are two types of 5-alphareductase (5αR) enzyme. Studies found that type II 5αR is primarily responsible for the male pattern baldness. It is localized in the vertex and frontal scalp where the hair loss is the most profound and usually not present in the lower back of the head where most bald men still have some hair. The optimum pH range of 5-alpha-reductase is pH 5-5.5. Outside of this pH range this particular enzyme can’t function.
